I recently had the opportunity to drive the 2013 Kia Forte 5-Door for a week.
This car is a pretty sweet ride! Stunning, inside and out! The leather seats with cloth trim add some nice personality to the interior. The leather-wrapped steering wheel and metal-finish interior accents give the Kia Forte a really sporty edge without ruling it out as a family car. I know it made this mom feel pretty cool!
Not only does it look cool, but it’s packed with all kinds of gadgets that make driving a new car fun and convenient. Like, Bluetooth® wireless technology, Tilt and telescopic steering column, Dual map lights with sunglasses holder, Trip computer, and EcoMinder™ fuel-efficiency monitor. For the music lover – Steering-wheel-mounted audio control buttons, SiriusXM™ audio system and, Six speakers with door-mounted tweeters that pump out some amazing and clear sound. Honestly the best sound of any car I have driven so far.
The SiriusXM™ audio system with built in GPS is a must for my next car. This just makes life easier, and since I went back to driving my own car, I find myself missing it often.
The trunk on the Kia Forte offers a lot more room than I expected. I really like the cover and netting. They gave me the opportunity to keep things separate which came in handy.
Also, very handy is the storage inside of the car, and the USB/auxiliary input jacks! How have my kids ever lived without these?
I found the 2013 Kia Forte 5-Door to be a really smart choice. It’s a beautiful car that handles well on the road. The 6-way adjustable driver’s seat fit me like a glove, and gave me a perfect view. Which is not always easy as I am a whole five foot, and a smidgin tall. The metal gas peddle took a little getting use. It felt very little in weight. After three of four days of driving, this was not an issue. The Kia Forte is amazing on gas! One tank lasted me the entire review. Which being a working mom, is very unusual. I should also mention Kia’s Power folding side-view mirrors. After having my own rear view mirror knocked off by a careless driver, I am in-love with this feature. It also gave me more parking options without worry. Pretty slick. I just love Kia’s design of a middle console, and controls. I felt fully in-control at all times, and never had my eyes off the road. Making me a much safer driver.
Speaking of safety, check this list of features –
