Pop Weaver Popcorn, Review & Giveaway

For years popcorn has been one of my favorite food addictions. It is not unlike me to pop a bag of popcorn and finish it alone, late at night while catching up on email or television shows. Or even in the middle of the day and call it my lunch.
Popcorn is also a big part of our Family Fun Nights with our daughter. Our Family Fun Night usually consist of our eleven year old daughter’s choice for dinner and then a board game or two. After the games we then put on pj’s, grab our blankets, some popcorn and pile in the living room together for a movie.

Being the popcorn lover that I am and knowing how much my family enjoys this snack, I am excited to tell you about a new, healthier microwave popcorn I was recently asked to review.

Let me introduce you to the first-ever microwave popcorn made with Canola oil from Pop Weaver,the world’s 3rd largest producer of popcorn. Not only does it have the same great taste, but it won’t leave you counting calories- making it the perfect, guilt-free snack. This new product also contains whole grains, antioxidants, and Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids, which help protect against heart disease, heart attacks and strokes.

Most other popcorns are made from Palm oil which is not only high in saturated fat, but there are also environmental issues with palm oil, as it contributes to deforestation in tropical areas, and importing it uses a lot of fuel. Canola is a renewable crop that is grown here in the U.S.

All three flavors in the Pop Weaver microwave line have been reformulated with Canola oil to help lower bad cholesterol and protect against coronary heart disease, heart attacks and strokes. And, at only 21 cents per full bag popped, no other snack provides this great nutritional value at such a low cost.

Yes it is healthy, yes it is better for the environment- but what about the taste? Much to my surprise I thought this popcorn was just as delicious and as much of a treat as my usual brand. Our daughter had no clue she was actually eating healthy compared to our previous microwave popcorn. Pop Weaver Popcorn gets huge thumbs up from me and my family.
