We love movies, and love the experience of seeing them on the big screen. The one thing we don’t love is when we take the whole family is standing in line. Some times trying to keep little ones entertained and patient can be a difficult task. When planning to take my sister, niece and granddaughter to see Cars 2 I was happy to give Fandango a try. It was super easy to create an account, chose a movie and purchase our tickets a few days in-advance. Lucky for us, because it seemed every little Cars fan was there at the same time to see the movie. I am now in-love with Fandango for us being able to walk our little ones right past those long lines. I also love that I can do this again spur-of-the moment by using the Fandango app on my phone. Fandango is a great alternative to standing in line at the box office!
Being new to Fandango, I am also impressed by how informative and fun the website is. I knew I would find movie showtimes and ticket prices. But, Fandango is also a great place to quickly find movie synopses, ratings, along with updated movie trailers and clips. Like the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 – 7/15! If you’re a home entertainment fan Fandango also offers all the info you could want on dvd and blu-ray releases. I highly recommend Fandango.com to any movie fan. Fandango also has a fun promotion running right now! Buy your tickets on Fandango.com and get a FREE iTunes download!
Disney/Pixar movies are big in our house. The first Cars movie was no exception. I can’t tell you how many times our family has watched the dvd, and enjoyed the story of Mater and Lightening McQueen became best of friends. When we heard they were working on a Cars 2, we knew it was going to be one to see on the big screen. Yesterday, my sister and I were happy to put the girls in the car and head to the theater. We couldn’t wait to see what fun adventures the Cars characters are up to now.
Before the movie started we enjoyed a Toy Story short. It was great to see something new featuring Woody, Buzz and the rest of the Toy Story crew. The girls really didn’t want it to end. Honestly, I would have enjoyed more from them too. When Cars 2 first started the girls seemed very interested. The bright colors and fast movement is a lot of fun. Like other Disney/Pixar movies the animation was beautiful and seemed to just jump off the screen, even in 2D. But, the spy storyline wore thin and pretty much went right over their heads. Now, my nephew (13) loved every minute of the movie. I also have a neighbor with an eight year old grandson who has seen it twice already! For our girls, three and four, unfortunately the movie really did not hold their attention. I really wouldn’t recommend this movie for kids under eight, not any other reason than attention span.
