Do you love to read but don’t always have it in your budget to pick up the newest and greatest books? If so, you’re not alone. In a day that eReaders and eBooks are the “thing” I still enjoy the feel of holding an actual book in my hands, and turning the pages when I read. Shopping and buying books has been a weakness of mine that can be compared to how some women shop for shoes. I tend to keep a pretty tall stack of books next to my bed waiting to be read.
Like most families these days, we’ve been living on a pretty tight budget. This has really put a damper on my love for buying books, as most new books are not cheap. That is when one of my other loves – eBay comes in! Not only have I found new book trends on eBay, but I’ve also scored them at a much lower price than at the book store.
Now, this where I get to the good part – not only do I now buy all my books on eBay, but after reading them I turn around and sell them on eBay too. The best part, I often turn a profit! I’ve had quit a few books sell on eBay for more than I initially bought them for. I don’t know about you, but I love being paid to read. Selling books on <a href=”http://www.ebay.com/” target=_blank”>eBay is fast and easy too. Simply enter the ISBN number found right on the book, answer a few easy questions and eBay pretty much does the rest. It’s worked out great for me, and keeps my love of book shopping within our budget.
I wrote this blog post as a member of the eBay Parent Panel. I hold a compensated position with eBay. Opinions expressed are my own and may not reflect those of eBay.
