Cedar Point HalloWeekends Review

“Halloweekends” attractions range from the tame to the truly terrifying! That is exactly what we experienced yesterday when a good friend and I took our grown daughters to Cedar Point for an ultimate Mother/Daughter day of rides, thrills and chills at Cedar Point.

Cedar Point has always been a favorite place of ours but we have never experienced it like this! All the spooky additions of HalloWeekends really added to our day and evening in the park. I knew the place was going to be decked out in Halloween decorations but it was so much more then I expected. HalloWeekends at Cedar Point include three haunted houses, five outdoor fright zones and some spooky entertainment that’s to die for. There is something for all ages, Cedar Point still has great family activities going on like a magical fun house, a parade with a cast of friendly creatures and of course, some of the best rides for kids anywhere. HalloWeekends is fun for the whole family!

But beware at night or anytime entering one of their haunted houses or asylums, because these places are no joke!! I walked through Dr. D.Mented’s Asylum with my 23 year old daughter and was scared to death. Something my daughter is going to be laughing about for some time, I am sure. If you are a fan and enjoy the scariest of haunted houses, the creepiest of corn mazes and dark, thrill filled rides, a visit to Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends is must.

Our day was perfect, the weather could not have been better, the lines to ride our favorite attractions were fast moving, and there was a nice fall feel to the air when walking the park. There was even real cider, pastries, and fresh kettle corn being made right there. We enjoyed every minute of it. Check out our action photo below. We rocked the park for our Mother/ Daughter Day – we moms can ride with the best of em!

I can easily see us making a trip to Cedar Point during their HalloWeekends an annual tradition and am already thinking about plans for next year.

HalloWeekends at Cedar Point is held every Friday night, Saturday and Sunday beginning September 17 – October 31. Friday 6 pm – midnight, Saturday noon – midnight and Sunday noon – 9 pm. Note- Cedar Point is now closed during the week.

Cedar Point has been voted “Best Amusement Park in the World” by Amusement Today for the past ten years. As of 2008 Cedar Point is the only park in the world with 75 rides, becoming the park with the most rides. It currently holds the world record for most roller coasters with 17, one of them being the world’s second tallest and second fastest roller coaster, Top Thrill Dragster, which reaches speeds of 120 mph and a height of 420 feet.

I was provided with free tickets to Cedar Point for the purpose of writing this review. No type of monetary compensation was received. The opinions expressed are all mine.

Sounds like a fun place for the family. If I only lived closer…

I am a Screamster at Cedar Point during halloweekends and work in one of the outdoor zones and have to say its a great job!

I would like to point out a mistake in your review, There are 4 indoor haunted houses, not three, Happy Jacks Toy Factory, Club Blood, G.A Boeckling’s Eerie Estates, and the new one Dr. D. Mented’s Asylum for the Criminally Insane. The 5 outdoor scare zones are, The Fright Zone, Terror Island, Fear Faire, CornStalkers and Carnevil.

  4. Haha I just read this and wanted to let you know that I work in the asylum and I’m glad I could be a part of scaring the crap out of you 🙂

Hope to see/terrify you this year! Muahaha
