I’ve been a Bon Jovi fan since high school. I remember hearing Runaway, and literally running to the record store excited to hear what else was on the album (7800° Fahrenheit). The eighties were a fun time for music and Bon Jovi was a huge part of that. With their talent for story telling and great sounding rock and roll, my friends and I just couldn’t get enough. Then came the nineties. When most of the popular music turned dark, and grungy, Bon Jovi’s release of “Keep the Faith” was like a breath of fresh air to me. A great reminder that rock and roll does not have to be dark, depressing or violent to be great. I can honestly say that Bon Jovi has continued to put out some of my favorite music through the years. “Have a Nice Day”, and “Lost Highway” are a couple of my go-to cd’s, especially while driving.
Just when I thought I couldn’t love Bon Jovi any more, they go and write a great song like this! These days with so many people facing hard times, Bon Jovi’s new single “Because We Can,” is like another breath of fresh air. Embracing optimism and reminding us all to do what we can – because we can.
Below is a lyric video of Because We Can, please take a few minutes to watch it.
I love this song! It lifts me up, and puts me in a great mood every time I hear it. For me, it’s not just another awesome Bon Jovi song (which it totally is), it’s a great reminder of what is important. After experiencing some pretty hard times over the past five years, my husband and I work hard at staying positive, at staying strong, and to keep moving forward together. At enjoying life. Why – because we can!

I love Bon Jovi. As a teenager I was obsessed! Even now.. at almost 40 years old.. their music makes me smile and jam out in the car. They are timeless… and that is rare.
