Now that Halloween has past, I’m ready to kick off the holiday season! The holidays are my favorite time of year. Here in Michigan the winter brings a lot of sparkling white snow, and within our family – a lot of making memories. Each November I look forward to giving thanks, spending time together, and enjoying the rich delicious food and scents associated with the holidays, like Apple Tart, Vanilla Latte, and Frosted Pine – I just love them.

I recently received this Febreze Home for The Holidays Collection scentspiration kit filled with with various holiday activities, recipes, DIY home décor and gift ideas, and several products from the limited edition Febreze Holiday Collection.

The Febreze NOTICEables work great in our house. We use them in several high traffic areas, including the room our dog bed stays. It does a great job at replacing the hound smell with a nice aroma of our choice. Currently we’re enjoying the sweet scent of Vanilla Latte.

Nothing helps kick off the holiday season like baking. Here is an easy Apple Tart recipe curtsey of Febreze and Walmart. It not only filled my kitchen with a delicious scent, but put a nice smile on my family’s face. Let me know if you try it!

Another way I like to celebrate the holiday season is decorating. I try to start small and have the house filled with a warm holiday feel before Thanksgiving. This year I started with these easy DIY coffee filter trees. They turned out so elegant that I still can’t believe they are made of filters. I’m actually thinking of making a few to giveaway with gifts this year.

Next on my list is planning to make Gingerbread Cookies in a Jar. I think they’ll make for great teacher gifts, and for several other people on my list this year. I’ll update this post and let you know how this one goes. They sure look and sound nice.

The limited edition Febreze Holiday Collection can be found at your local Walmart.

Be sure to follow Febreze on Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks to Febreze Holiday Collection for not only eliminated odors, but for helping my family kick off the holiday season. The Frosted Pine sure has be thinking of Christmas.

The collection includes scents of Frosted Pine, Apple Tart, Toasted Almond, Vanilla Latte, and Sugared Cranberry.
