2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC Review

I recently spent a week driving a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC for review. The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is not only nice to look at, but a pretty nice ride too.

The Outlander Sport offers a fun sporty experience, with the conveniences of a mid-size SUV. Perfect for day to day errands or small family road trips. The Outlander Sport has a 2.0-liter aluminum engine that uses MIVEC technology to balance power with fuel efficiency. Giving this vehicle excellent gas mileage (32 MPG HWY). The ECO Indicator Light also helps maximize fuel economy by illuminating when the vehicle is being driven in a manner that provides optimum fuel efficiency..

The vehicle I had for review was loaded with all kinds of impressive features. Like FAST-Key, One-touch Start/Stop Engine switch, SiriusXM™ Satellite & HD Radio, MMCS Navigation system, Panoramic glass roof with adjustable LED mood lighting, Heated side-view mirrors, Heated driver & front passenger seats, driving distance to empty to name a few.

My favorite feature – FUSE Hands-free Link System™. Any option that helps keep my focus on the road is a must the next time time I shop for a new vehicle.

My husband’s favorite feature – The headlights! Featuring auto off/on control; stylish-looking LED running lights; and easy adjustable heights, I have to admit they are really cool. Being able to direct them to shine higher, or lower is a real nice feature. Especaily when traveling.

Our teenage daughter’s favorite feature – The Rockford Fosgate® Punch premium sound system that pumps up to 710 watts through nine speakers-including a 10-inch dual-voice coil subwoofer. Because you know – it’s all about that bass!

Let’s talk safety! Each year Mitsubishi seems to out-do their self by adding to and improving on an already impressive list of features.

Active Stability Control (ASC). This feature employs sensors that monitor the grip on each tire. If one wheel begins to slip due to ice, it automatically applies more pressure to the wheels with the most traction.

Rearview camera. This provides a wide-angle view of the area behind the vehicle, making it safer and easier to navigate out of tight parking spots and also helps to avoid hitting things while backing out of a driveway.

Anti-Theft Alarm System. The 2015 Outlander Sport SUV is equipped with an integrated anti-theft alarm system and engine immobilizer that automatically interrupts power to the most crucial electronic circuits.

7 Airbag Safety System. Including a Driver’s Knee Airbag.

The Rear cargo compartment features cargo tie-down utility hooks, and has the option to lay flat over the back seats to optimize space. I didn’t have the need. For every day errands and grocery shopping, there was more than enough room. There is even a full size spare tire in the cargo floor!

There is very little about the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport that I didn’t like. One being the lack of lighting in the back seat. The seat belts are not easy to buckle in the day light, and in the evening was almost impossible for two adults passengers. I also felt the Paddle shifters were more in the way and confusing than beneficial. They felt very out of place in this vehicle.

The positivity definitely out shines the negative when it comes to the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, and I would recommend it to a family of 4 or less. Or as an excellent second vehicle.

The sun rook is HUGE! It’s a great feature for our daughter who gets car sick very easily. Having it open seemed to really help when she had to ride int he back.

  2. I would love that sun roof and the entertainment center in the front. Nice!

The color of this SUV is really pretty, and I like the room it has to get all the packages in. I would love to own a car like this. It is great to have heated seats-especially in the winter!
