Extremely comfortable, and luxurious, my Hyundai Sonata review

When thinking about my favorite cars, Hyundai has never been a name that comes to mind. Well, that just changed! I recently had the pleasure of driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata for a week, and just like that – it now makes my short list of cars to consider. In-fast it not only makes my list, it just might be at the top. When it comes to vehicle reviews here on Five Dollar Shake, I pride myself on my honesty, and being truthful, because the last thing my readers need is another automobile commercial. Yet, I can find nothing negative to share about the Hyundai Sonata, not even anything I would change. I drove it for seven days to and from work, and while running my family errands. No road trips, no extra long car rides, just everyday activities, and wow, did this vehicle make them more enjoyable. Extremely comfortable, and luxurious. So much so, that I found myself driving a little out of my way to be behind the wheel just a little longer.

From the looks of the car, to the way it handles on the road, to the incredible features, driving the Hydundai Sonata was one luxury experience. My photos do not do this vehicle justice. Trust me, the car is beautiful.

So many of the features in the Hyundai Sonata make me a better drive. Keeping my hands on the wheel, my eyes on the road, and my mind on my driving. With less worry and distraction comes the best kind of comfort.

Safety First!
Here is a list of just some of the impressive features on the Hydunai Sonata:
Driver’s Knee Airbag
Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist. (love this!)
Rear view camera
Lane Departure Warning
Forward Collision Warning
Rear Parking Assistance System
Improve brake performance with Brake Assist system

Being Connected When You Need It Most is a major safety feature!

Safety features that activate during an accident are crucial. Connecting you to help immediately after, that’s where Blue Link® Connected Care comes in. When an airbag is deployed, the Automatic Collision Notification and Assistance feature notifies our response center and lets us know where you are so that we can quickly send first responders. There’s also SOS Emergency Assistance—simply push a button on the rearview mirror to be put in contact with an agent who can send assistance and stay with you on the line until help arrives. In addition, you receive a monthly report that shows the status of your vehicle’s performance and timely alerts for service and required maintenance.

Let’s talk comfort:
Leather-wrapped steering wheel
Ten way ventilated power-adjustable driver seat with power lumbar support (love this!)
Lots of leg space, more than any other car in it’s class.
Heated and cooling front seats
Heated rear seats
Full front and back sun roof (LOVE this)

My favorite tech features:
HomeLink
Touchscreen Navigation System
SiriusXM Travel Link
Integrated Bluetooth
Talk to text (love this!)
400-watt Infinity® audio system
Built-in iPod®/USB and auxiliary input jacks
Rear seat 12V USB
Proximity Key
Touch button start
Hands-Free Smart Trunk (used this more than I expected)

The goods under the hood! This car features an American made motor, that packs plenty of power. I drive two different freeways to and from work, about 23 miles each way, and the Sonata had no problems keeping up. No issues on the ramps, merging with traffic or even passing vehicles when needed. It was incredibly smooth, and easy to handle.

The Hyundia Sonata is available in several models, the SE, Sport, ECO, Limited, Sport 2.0T, and Limited 2.0T. Starting at 21,150 you can chose the Sonata that is right for you.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about this car. If you are in the market, I highly recommend a test drive.

Hyundai is making very classy cars with all the bells and whistles. I think it is a good thing that they have rear back up assistance now so you can look and see if there is anything in the way! I bet this car is a smooth ride, and I like the style of this Hyundai.
