Black or White, Blu-ray review

Black or white on blu-ray

Available NOW on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital HD, Black or White:
Oscar® winners Kevin Costner and Octavia Spencer co-star in this touching comedy-drama based on real events. When two grandparents, Elliott (Costner) and Rowena (Spencer), engage in a heated custody dispute over their beloved granddaughter, the ensuing legal battle forces them to confront their true feelings on race and forgiveness. Can people from two seemingly different worlds find common ground when nothing is as simple as black or white?

Kevin Costner

I saw Black or White while it was in theaters. I enjoyed the movie then, and feel just in-love with it now. Catching things I missed before, and watching it again already knowing more about each character, it just seems to be better every-time I see it. The movie touches on on some real issues. While some moments are uncomfortable, some you just have to laugh at. A lot of the movie is thought and conversation provoking, which I really enjoy. Perfectly cast, and very well made, there is little I would change about this movie. I did feel as though some of Elliott’s story might have been left on the cutting room floor, but then the movie can only be so long. Myself, I enjoyed the movie so much I didn’t want it to end. If you saw Black or White in the theater and felt the same way, you’re going to really enjoy the blu-ray special features. This is one movie I’m happy to have added to our home collection.

The Blu-ray is packed with Special Features:
Shades of Gray: The Making of Black or White
