Breakfast is served, without the mess or breaking our budget thanks to @Restaurant_Com #ReviewCrew #sp

The week between Christmas and New Year’s Day is usually a busy one around here. The kids are home from school, and my office is typically closed for the week. So, between hosting holiday events with friends and family, we tend to over schedule our days off with as much fun as possible. That leaves very little time for cooking, and cleaning. Well, at-least that is what I strive for each year. Who wants to spend their holiday vacation in the kitchen? Not this mom. Thanks to we’ve been able to eat out, and eat well, while on the go without overspending.

Our most recent find is “Original Philips Restaurant” located in Taylor, Michigan. A small family run restaurant where the food is made from scratch, and the staff makes you feel right at home. The decor is filled with fun local flare and colorful young drawings from customers.

Though they were out of several items we first ordered, what was served was nothing short of delicious. Eating at Original Philips Restaurant is just like eating at home, only without the mess. The prices are surprisingly low. We enjoyed hot oatmeal, a meat lovers omelet, toast, a B.L.T. and two orders of hash-browns, all for under $20.

Friendly atmosphere, good quality food at low prices, it’s no surprise to me that Original Philips Restaurant was voted 2nd place on the “Top Family Restaurant” list by WDIV ClickOnDetroit! I definitely see us returning very soon.

When was the last time you tried eating somewhere you’ve never been?
