The 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, Knows No Limits #DriveToyota

I’ll be honest, when I think of mid-size, SUVs or crossovers that can handle winter conditions here in Michigan, the word Hybrid has never crossed my mind, though the name Toyota sure has. I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing several vehicles from Toyota over the years, and they never disappoint. I just recently spent a week driving the 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, and it just so happen to be a week full of heavy snow, wind and freezing temps. I was a little worried.

Driving during the winter months is not my favorite thing. I often find myself getting nervous when weather and road conditions are sever. I depend on knowing the limits of my vehicle. Thankfully, and much to my surprise limits such as these were no issue for the 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. It handled the sudden winter wonderland like a champ.

I had no problems staying in my lane, keeping up with traffic, or stopping at the stop signs, even on the side streets that were not yet plowed. And, best of all, while it may have been bitter cold and windy outside, I stayed cozy and warm inside the Rav4. Hello heated front seats, I love you! Toyota really has won me over in the way of comfort and convenience. I like how all of the features are placed easy to use, which helps keep my eyes on the road, where they belong.

Packed with the newest technology features and the best in design comfort. I am totally in-love with the 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid.

A few of my favorite features are:

The Birds Eye View Camera
Heated Front Seats
Smart Key System
Siri Eyes Free
Hands Free Power Liftgate
Blind Spot Monitor
LED Headlights
Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
Power Moon Roof

I’m not surprised that Toyota vehicles are loaded with my favorite features, when it comes to safety, comfort and convenience. What I am surprised with is the power! I’m not an expect when it comes to hybrids, as I’ve only driven a couple, but the 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid brings some serious pick up. It’s a very fun vehicle to drive. Even filled with adult passengers, where other vehicles of it’s size have been sluggish, the Rav4 stayed strong. I was very impressed. In-fact there was very little I was not impressed with. My short list includes gas mileage, I felt it could have done a little better for being a hybrid. Also, the outside frame felt a bit small for me. Even thought it comes with a high rated safety rank, it still felt somewhat thin. The good definitely out-ways the bad, I really enjoyed my week with the 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, and would highly recommend it to anyone searching for a smaller crossover.

A hybrid that knows no limits, this vehicle is a great ride for summer or winter conditions.

I have a Toyota Highlander that I bought last year. I test drove the Rav4, too, and LOVED it – but for me it came down to size. My boys are growing and I just needed a little bit more space 🙂

  2. Most people I know are purchasing hybrids and there are more and more options on the market. Toyota makes wonderful cars with many different options and price points. Finding the correct size for a growing family or for those who are down sizing is very important.

  3. Sounds a great car. Im trying to look for an suv, but this one looks so safe even though I don’t live a snow climate.

  4. I love the design of the Rav4 to begin with. Knowing it can handle well in the snow? Even better. I have to check into the towing capacity because I will be in the market for a new SUV when I purchase an RV to travel in. I would prefer not to get a truck as I don’t feel comfortable driving in them.

  5. Wow, nifty car! I cannot imagine having to drive in all that snow. Down here in Florida we don’t even know what snow is!

  6. The Toyota Rav4 Hybrid look freaking awesome. To bad I am not in the market to buy a new car now, but this is one to keep on mind for a future purchase.

  7. I really hate to travel when it is winter and snowing outside. I would rather just stay indoors and let the snow melt. I understand that people have to drive in it though. They really need a vehicle that can make the trip safer like this one to get to their destinations a little bit easier.

  8. OHH I love this! I get the best of both worlds! I get the SUV that I love and save on gas money! I will defiantly need to check out this car.

  9. I’m afraid of driving in a lot of snow. It is comforting to know that you have a vehicle that can hold its own weight when you need it.

  10. This is what my friend has right now, she said she love it. It’s great for the winter road and gas effective she said.

  11. This car sounds like a fabulous one that’s full of useful features. In fact, we are in the market for a second vehicle as my husband’s car is too old. This is a fabulous option for us.

  12. I just picked up a 2016 Toyota Highlander Limited but we looked at the Rav4 before we purchase my SUV. (I need the extra seating). Love the back up camera…one of my favourite features!! This is my second Toyota and I love them!

I really like the look of this car! I just bought a new car and we looked at Toyotas. They’re a great brand of vehicle.

  14. I’m actually in the market for a new car and have been considering taking this one for a test drive. I really like the idea of a blind spot monitor.

  15. This is seriously the next new vehicle that I want to get! As soon as I saw it for the first time, I thought the Rav 4 would be perfect for everything that I needed to do.

  16. Rebecca Swenor says:

Toyota makes great vehicles that last for many years. That is why I would love to check out the 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. It has so many amazing safety features and conveniences This would be a perfect vehicle for our icy roads here in our area. Thanks for sharing this great review.

  17. I’d love to test drive the 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. My son is the manager at a Toyota place in Georgia and he’s been telling me about it.

  18. Bonnie @wemake7 says:

That vehicle looks amazing! I wish I could switch our van out for this!

  19. Babushka is looking for a hybrid; gracias for the information. Although we don’t have snow problems here in Florida, we get other weather conditions that could use a car like this. BB2U

  20. I bought a new car this week and I thought it was loaded. This car looks like it has a ton of cool features.
