Power Of A Goddess. Heart Of A Hero. Gal Gadot is #WonderWoman! #WBsponsored

This post is in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment comes the epic action adventure starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright, directed by Patty Jenkins. In theaters June 2.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

I have one thing to say to Warner bros. Pictures – it’s about flipping time! Wonder Woman was a major part of my childhood. I spent a lot of my childhood playing outside, and climbing the big tree in my grandmother’s back yard. Often I would jump down, landing in my best super hero stance, sword (plastic Hot Wheels track) in hand, I would hop on my horse (my rainbow, banana seat bike) and chase the bad guys (my best friend’s little brothers) away to save the day. I may have been a skinny little girl with ratty blonde hair, but in my mind I was a hero – tall, strong and powerful just like the Wonder Woman I watched on TV and read about in my comic books.

I love that this story is finally coming to the big screen. I totally dig her updated look too. I’m really looking forward to sharing her story with my girls. The movie is rated PG-13, so it’s not for a younger crowd. But I hope the attention on Wonder Woman helps them find their own super hero stance because no childhood should ever exists without it.

The hero the world needs. Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman.
