Jordan (“Friday Night Lights”) star alongside Michael Kelly (The Adjustment Bureau) in the innovative action film CHRONICLE, debuting on Blu-ray and DVD May 15 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.


Three high school students make an incredible discovery, leading to their developing uncanny telekinetic powers beyond their understanding. As they learn to control their abilities and use them to their advantage, their lives start to spin out of control as their darker sides begin to take over. What starts out as fun and games quickly becomes dangerous and they must face the inevitable question of whether they can handle the responsibility that comes with their remarkable powers.

Utilizing hand-held filmmaking techniques to create a realistic and exciting viewing experience, the CHRONICLE Blu-ray boast a director’s cut of the film and unseen footage that offer a deeper glimpse into the events that took place with the students. Special features include deleted scene, camera test, pre-viz materials and more. The film will be available as a Blu-ray combo pack with DVD and digital copy.

Peter Pan is back––but his shadow is missing! When Peter loses his shadow while playing a game of Catch-Me-If-You-Can, he returns to Never Land to seek help from his kid pirate friend Jake. Embarking on one of his most daring and exciting adventures ever, Jake and his kid pirate pals, Izzy and Cubby, along with lookout parrot Skully, must use teamwork to find Peter’s shadow and return it to its rightful owner. However, their mission is nearly thwarted by the fiendish Captain Hook, and his bumbling first mate Mr. Smee. But bravery and justice win the day and Jake and his Never Land pirate crew once again reveal what it takes to become heroes, in Disney’s “Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns.”

As I’ve already blogged, we have a little one that just loves Jake and the Never Land Pirates!

So, it’s no surprise that this new release Peter Pan Returns is a big hit in our house. This time we first loaded the Digital copy to our iPad. It took only minutes to load and was a real blessing while on the road Easter weekend.

Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns has become a fast favorite for Becca, and has been happily viewed multiple times already. She loves each character and their entertaining stories, we love their positive message and focus on teamwork, problem solving and friendship! We give Jake and the Never Land Pirates big thumbs up and highly recommend it.

My thoughts:

The Muppets and me – we go way back. I’ve been a fan since the beginning, so when I heard about a new movie being made I couldn’t wait for it to come out. I just love the thought of my girls enjoying some of the same charters I did years ago. I have to admit, I was a bit worried that today’s version of The Muppets might not live up to The Muppets I once knew and loved. Boy, was I wrong! This movie has all the fun songs, laugh out-loud moments and adorable characters as I remember of The Muppets. The Muppets has been a great addition to our home collection, as it’s been watched several times already and enjoyed by the whole family. Not only do we enjoy the movie, but the Blu-ray extras get an awful lot of play. The gag reel takes me back to The Muppet Show days. I highly recommend The Muppets for anyone looking for a fun, upbeat family movie. Also, anyone who enjoyed The Muppets back in the day as I did, picking up this release is a must. You wont regret it.

Disney’s “The Muppets” is directed by James Bobin (“Flight of the Conchords,” “The Ali G Show”) and produced by the Academy Award®-nominated team of David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman (“The Fighter,” “The Proposal”) with a screenplay written by Segel & Nicholas Stoller (“Get Him to the Greek”), who also serve as executive producers along with John G.
