7 Things on Sunday

Seven things I’ve done over the past seven days.

expendables-3-cast_9983

1. Spent hours on unfinishing our basement, after being flooded with sewer water. Still have a lot of work to do.
2. Took a break from it, and went camping up north.
3. Enjoyed a nice visit with my daughter, and both granddaughters.
4. Sold an item on a local Facebook group.
5. Went to the movies with my daughter, husband and dad to see Expendables 3. Loved it!
6. Started back to school shopping. Found great prices at Staples this year.

“Parents Just Don’t Understand” on The Hub Network #HubClub

PJDU2

“Parents Just Don’t Understand” is a new light-hearted and fun-loving unscripted series hosted by Joey Fatone (‘NSYNC, “Rewrapped”). Premiering Saturday, August 23 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. on The Hub Network, the series will give parents and kids a chance to walk a day in each other’s shoes and experience firsthand the demands that each struggles to balance.

pjdu_44857

Fatone also serves as an executive producer of the series, along with Christian Sarabia, Rabih Gholam, Bicha Gholam, Nicole M. Reed and Allegra Newman. Cindy Nemes and Michael Wilder serve as co-executive producers. The 22-episode series will be produced by Endemol’s 51 Minds Entertainment for the Hub Network, champions of family fun and the only network dedicated to providing kids and their families entertainment they can watch together.

I recently received a fun package from The Hub Network that included an advance screening of “Parent’s Just Don’t Understand” to view with my family.

In the premiere episode, “The Touchdown Maker and Cupcake Baker,” Fatone swaps the lives of a 13-year-old and his underappreciated mom of five children. While the son tackles taking care of his siblings and a demanding job at the railroad, his mom must power through chores and football practice. Continuing in the spirit of “Freaky Friday,” the series will also showcase other parent-child swaps including a teenage ballerina and her feisty single-mom, a roller derby devotee and her princess-loving mom, plus a single-dad who takes on his son’s rigorous athletic schedule.

We really enjoyed checking out this new series. It was interesting to watch with our teenage daughter, who feels that we never understand. Watching it together gave us a chance to laugh at the ones being swapped, but to also talk about our own day-to-day lives. What a great premiss for a series! Anything that is entertaining enough to get the whole family to watch, and is thought provoking enough to get us talking, has my vote. We’re looking forward to watching more ‘Parents Just Don’t Understand”.

“Parents Just Don’t Understand” premiers Saturday, August 23 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT!

PB Crave 4 Flavor Variety Pack Review & Giveaway #pbcrave

Curt’s Peanut Butter Company has developed four unique PB Crave flavors. The exciting new premium peanut butter is produced by Sweet Harvest Foods in Cannon Falls, MN and is now available at Walmart Supercenters and Cost Plus World Market stores across the US.

Mmmm, did someone say peanut butter? BP Crave takes peanut butter to a whole new level! With four mouthwatering, natural peanut butter blends — each mixing favorite flavors with premium peanut butter — for a new twist on an old classic.

PBCrave_set1.jpg

I recently received the above PB Crave 4 Flavor Variety Pack for my family to review. We go through a lot of peanut butter in our house, so to say this has been a welcomed review, is a real understatement.

We put peanut butter on almost everything! Sandwiches, toast, apples, bagels, waffles, pancakes, pretzels, gram crackers, to just name a few.

PB_Crave2Toast

PB Crave is artisan-crafted using high-quality ingredients and proven practices.

–No hydrogenated oil
–No artificial flavors
–No syrups
–No high-fructose corn syrup
–Gluten and cholesterol free
–Small batches, artisan crafted
–USDA-approved manufacturing
–Fun, delicious and nutritious

While the Choco Choco is amazing on anything, the Cookie Nookie was the first of the four flavors to be finished. I think my husband might have been adding a little on top of his evening ice cream. Who would blame him? This stuff is delicious! All four flavors have been a hit with my family. The only, even close to negative thing I’ve heard is a mention that each jar requires a lot of string when opened. But no worries – once you give it a stir, there are a ton of yummy treats to be blended in each jar. I assume that has something to do with the all natural process of how it’s made. Judging by the quality and taste, I wouldn’t change a thing!

My current addiction – CoCo Bananas spread thick on-top of chocolate chip waffles. Yum!
