What!? He’s a “time traveler”??? I think we’ve been here before miss McAdams. Only this time, unlike one of my all time favorite book to screen adaptations (The Time Traveler’s Wife), I see no real chemistry, at least not in the above trailer. I think I’ll wait for the Blu-ray.

Trailer Park Tuesday #Rush

rush-poster-2013

Two-time Academy Award(R) winner Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, Frost/Nixon) teams once again with fellow two-time Academy Award(R) nominee, writer Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon, The Queen), on Rush, a spectacular big-screen re-creation of the merciless 1970s rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda. The epic action-drama stars Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers) as the charismatic Englishman James Hunt, and Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds) as the disciplined Austrian perfectionist Niki Lauda, whose clashes on the Grand Prix racetrack epitomized the contrast between these two extraordinary characters, a distinction reflected in their private lives.

Directer:Ron Howard

Cast:Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Brühl, Olivia Wilde, Alexandra Maria Lara, Stephen Mangan, Christian McKay, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Jamie de Courcey, Pierfrancesco Favino, Natalie Dormer

In theaters: September 20th, 2013.

This looks really well made. I’m not sure if I’ll see it on the big screen, but I’m sure to see it on Blu-ray.

“The Big Wedding” Advance Screening Ticket #Giveaway 5 Winners!

Lionsgate’s soon to be released romantic-comedy, “The Big Wedding” is a true celebration of the love, laughter, and unavoidable chaos that exists when families get together.

the-big-wedding-movie-poster-691x1024

“With an all-star cast led by Robert DeNiro, Katherine Heigl, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, Topher Grace, with Susan Sarandon and Robin Williams, THE BIG WEDDING is an uproarious romantic comedy about a charmingly modern family trying to survive a weekend wedding celebration that has the potential to become a full blown family fiasco. To the amusement of their adult children and friends, long divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin (De Niro and Keaton) are once again forced to play the happy couple for the sake of their adopted son’s wedding after his ultra conservative biological mother unexpectedly decides to fly halfway across the world to attend. With all of the wedding guests looking on, the Griffins are hilariously forced to confront their past, present and future – and hopefully avoid killing each other in the process. Screenplay by Justin Zackham. Directed by Justin Zackham.”

Being a fan of the entire cast, I can not wait to see this movie! I think I’ve already watched the above trailer five times in anticipation.

Planning on making it a girl’s night out, I’ll be bringing my sister to the screening. It’s going to be so much fun.

Trailer Park Tuesday #2Guns

2-guns-movie-poster
For the past 12 months, DEA agent Bobby Trench (Washington) and U.S. naval intelligence officer Marcus Stigman (Wahlberg) have been reluctantly attached at the hip. Working undercover as members of a narcotics syndicate, each man distrusts his partner as much as the criminals they have both been tasked to take down.

When their attempt to infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel and recover millions goes haywire, Trench and Stigman are suddenly disavowed by their superiors. Now that everyone wants them in jail or in the ground, the only person they can count on is the other. Unfortunately for their pursuers, when good guys spend years pretending to be bad, they pick up a few tricks along the way.

Directer: Baltasar Kormákur

Cast: Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, Paula Patton, Bill Paxton, Fred Ward, James Marsden and Edward James Olmos

In theaters: August 2, 2013.

This looks great! One my husband and I will both enjoy. Wahlberg seems to be getting better with age, and Washington almost never disappoints. I’m really looking forward to seeing 2 Guns on the big screen.
