Word Party is the new vocabulary building show from The Jim Henson Company that follows four adorable baby animals as they sing, dance and play. The show invites our youngest viewers to help teach the baby animals new words, practice these new words themselves, and celebrate these achievements with a “Word Party!”
Word Party is produced using the groundbreaking Henson Digital Puppetry Studio, a proprietary technology from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop that allows puppeteers to perform digitally animated characters in real time – enabling the animation to be more lifelike and spontaneous.

Word party is a new favorite around here! We have a two year old granddaughter, named Lulu that is in-love with the series. She even asks for it by name when she sees us log into Netflix. The show is really fun, featuring colorful charters and catchy music. Probably the most educational of any new series marketed for a toddler that we have seen. Lulu, loves to sing the theme song, and already knows each charter by name. She often repeats what she has learned, and has even carried a lot of the words off screen. Which is fantastic!
We are now on our third round of season one. Which is fun for Lulu, but as cute as this series is, as the adults, we’re really hoping to see new episodes added at some point.
I highly recommend this series for any toddler or little one. It is very well made and the way it handles education is very effective.
