About “Life as We Know It”:
After a disastrous first date, the only thing Holly, an up and coming caterer, and Eric, a network sports director, have in common is their dislike for each other and their love for their goddaughter Sophie. But when they suddenly become all Sophie has in the world, Holly and Eric are forced to put their differences aside and juggle career ambitions and competing social calendars to find some common ground while living under one roof.
Judging by the movie poster and trailer I had this movie labeled as a silly chick-flick. Turns out it has so much more to offer than I expected. The story line is charming, and heartfelt and the acting is nothing less then superb. The performances and chemistry of Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel does not disappoint. Nor does the rest of the cast, hello Melissa McCarthy, who delivers some of my favorite laugh out loud lines in the movie. This is not a perfect movie and is slightly predictable at times. Yet, it’s definitely a movie worth seeing. Nothing can truly prepare any of us for the trials and tribulations of becoming a new parent. “Life As We Know It” offers plenty of moments most of us remember and can relate to. Moments we can now sit back and laugh at. I really enjoyed “Life As We Know It”. So much I can easily see myself viewing it again.
Life As We Know It opens nation wide this Friday, 10/8/10.
