As you may know, McDonald’s is now offering Go-GURT Low-Fat Strawberry Yogurt as an additional side option for kids in its Happy Meals. This Go-GURT is made exclusively for McDonald’s with 25 percent less sugar than the leading kid’s yogurt and is available in all restaurants nationwide.
The decision to include Go-Gurt in Happy Meals is another step in the McDonald’s partnership with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, which was founded by the American Heart Association and Clinton Foundation, aimed to reduce childhood obesity and empower children to develop healthy habits for life.
Adding Go-Gurt to the Happy Meal menu isn’t the only change at McDonald’s — they’ve also introduced “Happy,” a new, animated Happy Meal character who is an ambassador for balanced eating. Happy brings a big friendly smile to each meal, and encourages kids to eat fruit, veggies, low-fat dairy, water, and juice.
I recently received several “Be Our Guest” Free Happy Meal coupons from McDonald’s to review the new Go-GURT Happy Meal option. So, I did what any good grandma would do – I called this girl to help me out!
As you can see I really had to twist her arm to help me with this review..
We had so much fun! Enjoying dinner to go, and a whole lot of laughing throughout the evening. The Go-GURT, it gets two big thumb up from Becca. I’m excited to see McDonald’s bring more healthy choices to their menu, their restaurant and food has been a part of making memories with my girls years.
