The nice people at Great Wolf Lodge invited my family along with a list of other Mommy Bloggers for an overnight stay and to experience the kick off weekend of Snowland – their yearly Christmas, Winter Wonderland celebration. The celebration includes a long list of family activities such as reindeer cookie decorating, t- shirt painting, nightly story time under the clock tower that sits in the hotel’s front lobby which is decked out as a winter wonderland. After each story time the kids enjoy music as real snow falls from the ceiling. All of these things and more, let’s not forget about the amazing water park, makes for a fun family weekend, sure to create some magical memories that will last a life time.
As parents we were very impressed by The Great Wolf Lodge, there wasn’t a moment of disappointment. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and dinner in the hotel’s restaurant and felt their prices to be very reasonable. The list of on going activities had some thing for everyone, at any age. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The kids loved having their own loft! Not that we spent much time there. Getting the kids out of the water park and away from their Magic Quest (a fun magical game using real-like magic wands through out the hotel halls) was a real chore. My husband and I agree that making the five hour drive with a car full of kids would definitely be worth repeating if we get the chance to return.
Don’t just take our words for it, here is a little Q & A with my 10 year old daughter Allison:
Q: What was your favorite activity during your stay at The Great Wolf Lodge?
A: It is a tie between the water park and the Magic Quest game.
Q: What would you do differently with your time if you were to return again soon?
A: Nothing. Just wish we stayed longer to play more.
Q: How would you rate the food you ate in the restaurant?
A: Excellent ! The Shaker drink I got with the Paw Pass was awesome.
Q: How about the arcade?
A: I was disappointed that I had so many tickets (147) and it was still not enough to buy anything better than a pencil or a couple of small candies.
Q: Is there anything you can think of that would make staying at Great Wolf Lodge any better for your age?
A: I can’t think of a single thing. It was great!
A great big thank you to The Great Wolf Lodge for recognizing us Mommy Bloggers and holding such a fun family filled weekend. It was nice to be able to meet and chat with the other mom’s and to be spoiled with such an amazing breakfast that was out of this world. The entire weekend was something I won’t soon forget.
