Something I tend to struggle with is being caught up in the shopping and planing of the holiday season. Over the past few years I’ve made a conscious effort to focus more on giving and contributing to meaningful charities. Even though we don’t have much to give, I’ve found that these opportunities are everywhere. All you have to do is look.
With most families feeling effects of the low economy, the American Red Cross’ third-annual giving survey shows that 26% of people plan to scale back charitable spending this holiday season, and those who plan to give to charity want their giving to be very meaningful. eBay makes it easy to “give” while you sell, with an option to auto-donate 10-100% of sale proceeds to benefit the Marines Toys for Tots organization, which has helped thousands of in-need families. This is also a meaningful way to attract shoppers to “give” through eBay by promoting this charitable option in their descriptions.
Just another reason I love eBay!
