I recently received a copy of Steve Jobs to review. To be honest, I really wasn’t looking forward to watching this movie. I felt as though the story of Steve Jobs had been told, recently, and told well. Much to my surprise, about twenty minutes into the movie, my mind was changed. I found this movie to be a surprising, intoxicating display of talent. A well written story, played out by a very talented cast. Steve Jobs has earned every bit of award attention it has been receiving. What makes this movie stand out to me from the previous movies on Steve Jobs is that it not only shows the genius he was, but also more of his heartfelt side. The human side. Also, it is filled with brilliant one-liners and smart dialogue. Keeping it entertaining, even during the slower parts of the story.
I had planned to only watch the first half of the movie, but found myself so drawn-in that the movie was ending before I considered turning it off. In-fact this is a movie I feel could have benefited by being a little longer. Thankfully, the blu-ray, and DVD come with bonus features, like “Inside Jobs: The Making of Steve Jobs”. I really enjoyed watching the commentary features as well.
