The imaginative world of Dr. Seuss comes to life like never before in this visually spectacular adventure from the creators of Despicable Me! Twelve-year-old Ted will do anything to find a real live Truffula Tree in order to impress the girl of his dreams. As he embarks on his journey, Ted discovers the incredible story of the Lorax, a grumpy but charming creature who speaks for the trees. Featuring the voice talents of Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Rob Riggle, Jenny Slate and Betty White, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is filled with hilarious fun for everyone.
I recently watched Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax with my girls. I haven’t been a big Dr Seuss fan over the years, and I don’t have a childhood memory of the book, so I had no idea what to expect. First I should point out that the animation in this movie is fantastic! As for the storyline, I found it smart and entertaining. It kept our youngest happy and our tween daughter interested. I have to admit, I found myself more entertained and into the story than I expected. The characters as well written and perfectly cast. The Lorax shares a great message and brings some fun laugh out-loud moments at the same time.
We also had a lot of fun playing the Truffula Run and Get Out of Town games found on the Blu-ray extras! Other extras include Seuss It Up (tutorial on how to draw the Lorax), Let it Grow (Karaoke-style sing along), and more. For even more fun, don’t miss three all new additional mini movies, included on the Blu-ray addition.
Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is available for purchase now and definitely worth adding to a family home library.
