I recently had the chance to review the 2013 Kia Optima EX. The exterior color (Dark Cherry) and design of this car is absolutely beautiful! Inside, the leather interior and dash board are equally impressive. She’s a beauty!
Maybe I’ve been spoiled a little by my previous reviews but my first thoughts once inside was disappointment over the lack of navigation system, back-up camera, or sunroof.
Once I started driving the Kia Optima EX, it changed my mind completely. This car drives like a dream! It’s tight steering and well built shocks bring this mid-size sedan to a whole new level of quality driving. It has been my pleasure to drive this vehicle for a week.
The Kia Optima EX is packed with a list of features that make life more convenient, and much less worrisome.
remote keyless entry
push button start
power windows and locks
adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support
dual-Zone automatic temperature control with the rear vents
dual front airbags
full-length side curtain airbags
USB and auxiliary input jacks
Bluetooth wireless technology
SIRIUS satellite radio
heated outside mirrors w/ turn signal indicators
For not being a Hybrid the Kia Optima EX is excellent on gas. An estimated of 28 MPG combined city & highway.
My teenage daughter did complain of the passenger seat sitting very low – compared to what we are use to, and I felt as though the head rest on the back seats created somewhat of a distraction in my rear view. Even with those two being said, the Kia Optima EX is honestly one of my favorite vehicles that I’ve driven. It fits me like a glove, and just feels like quality! I could easily see myself owning a Kia one day. Though I think I will need to add a navigation system and back up camera!
Disclosure: I was delivered a 2013 Kia Optima EX to drive for ten days. Most of which i spent down with the flu. No monetary compensation has been exchanged. The opinions express are honest and my own. I was not asked or influenced in any way to write a positive review by Kia . I am disclosing this information as part of the legal FTC blogger regulations.
