We recently packed up the kids and the car and headed to Great Wolf Lodge – Traverse City for a fun filled weekend in support of the second annual World’s Largest Waterslide-athon! Benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
We weren’t the only ones helping Great Wolf Lodge raise more than $250,00 this year. Check out the video below of Nick Lachey at Great Wolf Lodge – Mason as he helped kick off this great event.
This charity event is just one of many reasons I am proud to be a continued Great Wolf Lodge supporter. Like mine, a lot of families are currently living on a tight budget. Yet, we all want to enjoy a family vacation from time to time but factoring in travel, hotel, food, and entertainment its simply not an option. Putting it all under one roof makes Great Wolf Lodge our perfect vacation place. With plenty of rooms and package options, there is one to fit almost any budget. Lucky for us – Great Wolf Lodge just so happens to be our kids choice of places to go.
We all know Great Wolf Lodge has the best indoor water park. But, did you know Great Wolf Lodge also offers a number of family entertainment options that don’t involve water?
Like play golf on an 18 hole course. Outdoor rock climbing. Be pampered from head to toe inside a full staff Aveda salon. Enjoy a huge arcade. There is even Cub Club, a place for families to enjoy arts and crafts. Great Wolf Lodge is also home to MagiQuest, a magical game found through the entire hotel. Let’s not forget the shopping! From home decor to giant candy dispensers, you are sure to find something for everyone here!
Hotel room: We stayed in their standard two bed and couch room. Very clean and comfortable! The room was nicely decorated and offered a great layout for the kids. Plenty of space. We slept four very comfortably. I am not a fan of having the sink out side the bathroom and across from a bed. That would be my only complaint. It’s not a deal breaker of any kind but if I could change one thing about the room we stayed in, it would be that.
Food: Pretty impressive. Even by the pool. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Prices are surprisingly low for a water park.
Entertainment: So much to do its unreal. The kids were busy having fun from check in to check out. Also, as I mentioned above there is a lot of options for the entire family.
Customer service: The staff was very accommodating and friendly (even by phone). Our check in was fast and easy and the clerk could not have been more welcoming.
Over all expereince: Definitely worth every penny. We have been to other indoor water parks and paid a lot more for not nearly as much fun or comfort. Great Wolf Lodge is the top of our list.
